Mr. Ali graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and has developed a diverse legal background through his involvement in both the private legal sector and various key government institutions. His professional journey reflects a strong foundation in research, litigation, human rights, policy-making, and administrative law.

Mr. Ali completed his pupillage at Messrs. Morthi Segaran & Co., focusing on civil disputes, accident claims, legal drafting, and consultations with enforcement and medical institutions.

Subsequently, Mr. Ali served as an Administrative Officer at the Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister’s Department, where he was actively involved in human rights and institutional reform matters. His portfolio included engagements with SUHAKAM, the United Nations, and various civil society organisations.

He later joined the Department of Standards Malaysia as an Assistant Director, where he facilitated Malaysia’s participation in the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), coordinated the development of Malaysian Halal standards, and supported various stakeholder engagements, seminars, and policy consultations.

Since joining Messrs. Farid Izzati Ain & Co. in October 2023, Mr. Ali has been actively involved in the firm’s litigation practice, managing matters related to probate and estate administration, distribution orders, orders for sale, medical negligence, criminal defence, and running down cases. His strong analytical abilities, deep commitment to justice, and capacity to handle sensitive, high-stakes matters make him a valuable asset to the litigation team.
