Ms. Nur Farhana Binti Abdul Karim is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer with a strong focus on banking and finance. She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2017 and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons.) from the University of Malaya.

Bringing over seven years of industry experience, Ms. Nur Farhana has built a strong track record in handling a broad spectrum of legal matters, including corporate advisory, commercial contracts, banking and finance transactions (both conventional and Islamic), and regulatory compliance. She has acted for major financial institutions in Malaysia, including Maybank, Affin Bank, Bank Rakyat, and Bank Muamalat, providing end-to-end support in loan documentation, restructuring exercises, and advisory on financing products.

Ms. Nur Farhana previously served as Partner and Head of the Global Banking and Commercial Division at EzriLaw Firm, where she led a team in delivering strategic legal solutions to business clients. Her corporate work includes drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements such as joint ventures, shareholders’ agreements, service contracts, and distribution arrangements.

In addition to her law firm experience, she also held the position of Legal Manager for Southeast Asia at Fave Asia Sdn. Bhd., where she advised on fintech-related contracts, regulatory compliance, and cross-border commercial arrangements across Malaysia and Singapore. She continues to engage with international legal work as a freelance Client Relationship Manager with Oratto Legal Services (UK), enhancing her global exposure.

Ms. Nur Farhana’s contributions extend to thought leadership and professional development. She has served on the Islamic Finance Committees of both the Bar Council and Penang Bar, moderated and spoken at multiple legal seminars and webinars, and contributed to legal publications including Suara Peguam and Sweet & Maxwell titles on fintech and Islamic finance.
