Syarie Counsel at FIACO
Ms. Khairunnisa Sabri graduated with a Bachelor of Islamic Studies (Syariah) (Hons) from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA). She has further strengthened her professional qualifications by completing the Diploma in Amalan Kehakiman dan Guaman Syarie at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), equipping her with the necessary academic and practical foundation to practise in Syariah courts.
She began her exposure to Syariah legal practice through her internship at the Mahkamah Rendah Syariah Batu Pahat, where she was actively involved in assisting with a variety of Syariah matters including divorce, child custody, confirmation of marriage, faraid and hibah applications. During this period, she supported the preparation and filing of court documents, assisted clients with procedural requirements, and attended court proceedings including Sulh sessions, giving her practical insight into the conduct and workflow of Syariah cases.
Following her academic qualification, Ms. Khairunnisa pursued her professional pathway in Syariah practice by undertaking the Diploma in Amalan Kehakiman dan Guaman Syarie at UKM. She is now duly admitted and holds Tauliah to practise as a Peguam Syarie in Negeri Sembilan. Her training and qualification enable her to handle a broad range of Syariah matters, including matrimonial disputes, custody, maintenance, estate distribution (faraid), hibah and related proceedings in the Syariah Courts.
Ms. Khairunnisa joined Messrs. Farid Izzati Ain & Co. as Syarie Counsel as part of the firm’s expansion into Syariah practice. At FIACO, she is involved in advising clients on Syariah legal matters, preparing court documentation, managing case filings and representing clients in Syariah proceedings where applicable. Her role also includes coordinating with relevant authorities and ensuring compliance with procedural requirements of the Syariah Courts.
